About the Blog
One tradition that has fallen away in recent years is that of producing meeting reports. This is a huge burden for a single individual each meeting, and is largely neglected. By putting the meeting report into blog form, we hope to encourage each member to submit a short piece. This blog contains the experiences, feelings, and insights of the members of City of London Speakers Club into public speaking, leadership, communication, and life.
About the Club
City of London Speakers Club is a member club of Toastmasters International. We are a fun and relaxed club in the heart of the City, London’s financial district.
As with all Toastmasters clubs, our mission is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
In addition to practising both impromptu and prepared speaking, members volunteer to run the evening by playing various roles. This gives many opportunities to play a leading role in front of a reasonably large group of people.
Guests are welcome to come along to our meetings.
